Kagerou is the main ship of the Kagerou-class DD, and fought several battles, most notably the battle of Tassafuronga. The Kagerou-class DD was the latest design of the IJN fleet destroyer, with improved speed, longer cruise range, and powerful armament. Aoshima's new kit meets today's molding standards and the design itself reflects recent research, depicting the ship's early form (from 1941).
